Congenital heart disease is the formation of cardiac abnormalities that occur in children since birth. Another alternative name for congenital heart diseases including: congenital heart defect, congenital heart malfomation, congenital cardiovascular disease, congenital cardiovascular defects, and congenital cardiovascular malformations.

These include congenital heart disease cases that often occur in children. According to statistical data the incidence of congenital heart disease cases reached 1%. Cases of congenital heart disease is often not detected during pregnancy the mother. The reason why is difficult to detect congenital heart disease during pregnancy is because the fetal circulatory system different from the baby's blood circulation.

Fetal circulation also have an important communication (shunt) between the two rooms above the heart and major blood vessels near the heart. A consequence is that most types of CHD can be tolerated premises both during fetal life. Even a severe form of congenital heart disease such as left heart hypoplasia (in which the entire left heart does not develop) can be compensated by the fetal circulation.

But for parents who have children with congenital heart disease is not worried. With today's technological advances treatment of congenital heart disease do not always have to wear a surgical operation or action. But the condition now of course parents should have enough funds. Action without surgery for the treatment of congenital heart disease uses a device called the Amplatzer occluder.

Here is a list of congenital heart disease that can be corrected with the Amplatzer occluder device:

PDA is an abnormality in the channel that connects the existing blood vessels in the heart (the aorta and pulmonary

artery).

2. ASD (Atrial Septal Defects)
3. VSD (Ventricular Septal Defects)
